Louis van Gaal considering to retain only Best Performers for this Transfer Window

There are a number of players that are reaching the end of their respective contracts and this is the case of: Robin van Persie, Phil Jones, David de Gea, Jonny Evans, Chris Smalling, Rafael da Silva, Ashley Young, Javier Hernandez and Anders Lindegaard.

Louis van Gaal has to start considering whether or not to extend the contract of those players which will be expiring in 2016.

Out of those players previously mentioned, David de Gea has been the only one that has managed to stand out with a string of impressive performances and the Spanish goal-keeper surely deserves to have his contract extended and remain at Old Trafford if he desires on doing so.

Chelsea’s ThibautCourtois and Manchester United’s David de Gea are the 2 young goal-keepers which have been rated most highly and this is due to the fact that they continue on making amazing performances in almost every single match for their respective clubs.

In a time where Manchester United has seen some of their most influential players either leaving Old Trafford or simply deciding to retire from playing competitive football, which is the case of: Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs, it’s hugely important and significant that a new and younger breed of players start to emerge and there is no doubt whatsoever that David de Gea is leading the way for this new generation of players.

In terms of players, David de Gea is the most valuable asset of Manchester United.

Recently, a string of rumors have emerged which are claiming that David de Gea and Louis van Gaal do not have a healthy relationship as they have not spoken in months and this is the main reason on why the Spanish goal-keeper has not decided to extend his contract. If this is indeed true then it could allow other clubs to step in and sign the player who is not completely satisfied with everything that is going on at Old Trafford.
